Govardhan Puja and Diwali
Govardhan puja/Deepavali celebrations - Oct 19th and Oct 21st
Please join us in celebrating Diwali and Govardhan puja festivals.
Sunday, October 19th, 11 AM onwards:
We will have multiple dance/bhajan offerings by devotees to celebrate the two festivals. We are starting 30 minutes earlier than the regular Sunday feast program time (11 AM instead of 11:30 AM) to accomodate the large number of participants.
Program Schedule:
11:00 AM - 12:30 PM - Devotional bhajans/dances
12:30 PM - 1:00 PM - Aarti/Kirtan
1:00 PM - 1:30 PM - Damodar ashtakam with offering of ghee lamps
Lunch prasadam to follow
Tuesday, October 21st, evening:
There will be a class on Govardhan pastime and devotees will have opportunity to bring sweets/savories for the deities. This is the only day of the year when bhoga cooked at all devotees' homes is offered at the temple altar.

Advent of Bhagavad Gita
Gita Jayanti is the day when Lord Krishna spoke the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna 5000 years ago on the battlefield of Kuruksetra. The Supreme Lord delivered the most confidential and topmost knowledge of devotional service in order to help all devotees understand the purpose of life and the way to surrender to Him.

Brief description of the Festival:
Srimati Radharani is Lord Krishna's eternal consort. She is Krishna's greatest devotee, and the personification of His energy. Like the sun and the sunshine, Krishna and Radha are one. She is the origin of all the gopis and of all the goddesses of fortune (Lakshmi devi). Without first getting the mercy of Srimati Radharani it is impossible to even approach Sri Krishna.

Sri Krishna Janmashtami
Please mark your calendars for celebrating the biggest vaishnava festival of the year - Sri Krishna Janmashtami on Saturday, August 16th!
The program will start at 5 PM with Abhishek and go on past midnight. It will include Kirtan, Abhishek, Aarti, Jhulan, Cultural programs, Kids' activities, and free Vegetarian feast (Prasadam).

About the festival:
Balaram Purnima is the appearance day of Lord Balarama, who is the first bodily expansion of Lord Krishna. He is the eternal companion of Lord Krishna and assists in His transcendental pastimes. Deity Welcoming Anniversary
Please join us along with your family and friends in the fun filled celebration of the welcoming anniversary of the Deities - Sri Sri Nitai Sachinandan.
We will do an abhishek of the Lordships with lots of rose petals. The same petals will later be showered on the devotees.

Narasimha Chaturdashi is the appearance day of Lord Narasimha, the half-lion half-man incarnation of Supreme Lord Krishna, who appeared to protect His devotee Prahlada from his demoniac father Hiranyakashipu. This festival is of great significance to all vaisnavas. Lord Nrsimhadev removes all obstacles on the path of devotional service. About the Festival:
The Supreme Lord incarnates in many forms out of His sweet will. One such famous incarnation of The Supreme Lord is Lord Rama. The birth of Lord Rama is celebrated as Rama Navami. Lord Rama was born to King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya in Ayodhya. He had three younger brothers Bharata, Lakshmana and Shatrughna. He was the ideal son, brother, husband and king.
The life and activities of Sri Rama are explained in detail by the great sage Valmiki in the epic Ramayana. A summarized version of the Ramayana as narrated by Shukadeva Goswami to Parikshit Maharaja is included in the ninth canto of Srimad-Bhagavatam (Bhagavata Purana).

Gaura Purnima
Gaura Purnima, the "Golden Full Moon" is the divine appearance day of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the Supreme Personality of Godhead as confirmed by several authorized Vedic literatures.
